How Our Learn & Earn Opportunities Work

We at Print Fundraising, as DECA alumni, know the importance of educating the next generation of young entrepreneurs.  Print Fundraising also knows that a fundraising opportunity is not enough on its own to entice schools to sign up. That is why we have gone to great lengths to create the ultimate learn & earn experience for DECA chapters.  Our fundraising program offers a hands-on learning opportunity for DECA students, but we wanted to take it a step further.

Our learn & earn program is designed to help DECA chapters earn money for their school through school-based enterprises, and to learn the ins and outs of the decoration industry and entrepreneurship.

Print Fundraising has broken our curriculum up into 3 sections that explore starting a decoration business, entrepreneurship, and running an SBE decoration business.

Within each section are subjects that explain various aspects of entrepreneurship or managing a decoration business. Each subject has a corresponding video, PowerPoint, quiz, and vocabulary flash cards. We know that students learn in many different ways, and that is why we have developed multiple learning methods and ways to test comprehension.

Print Fundraising’s Product Decoration Industry Curriculum introduces students to the decoration industry by breaking down the various product decoration processes.  We then delve into the specifics of running a product decoration business: management, operations, financing, ecommerce, artwork, and more.

Print Fundraising Entrepreneurship Curriculum is based off of years of business education and experience.  In the curriculum we discuss what it means to be an entrepreneur and how to start, manage, and market a new business.

Lastly, our School-Based Enterprise Curriculum breaks down the day-to-day specifics of running a decoration SBE, the long-term goals of the program, and the roles and responsibilities of all involved.

Print Fundraising has developed what we believe to be a comprehensive curriculum that will educate young, business-minded students, and provide them with valuable real-world experience before they even get to college.  My time in DECA was invaluable to me, and I want to pay back the wonderful experiences I had by passing on a fun and profitable opportunity to current DECA chapters and students.
